Mission Statement

Ghousia Islamic Center’s history originally started in 2005, with the commemoration of Gyarwih Sharif on a monthly basis. These blessed gatherings occurred in the homes of many individuals following the spiritual path. Soon after many years of consistent gatherings, we decided it was time to begin prayers on a daily basis.  small prayer hall in a basement located at 15028 Broadway Ave, Harvey, IL was established in 2011.  Five times daily prayers and Jummah services were now being offered in addition to Daily Evening Madrasa for the youth.

The center soon gained traction in the South-Chicago area and after five years, Jumaah Prayers began to get over-populated and the need for a much larger center was needed.
